New iTalk build....

I fixed a bug in iTalk where it would display the wrong name in the title of the chat window. Also fixed the chat window so the right-side balloon will stay right-justified when the window is resized.

I don't have a new installer so you have to manually install:

There is an archive file with iTalk.exe and AquaControls.ocx in it as well as the ActiveX control for the grid I use to display the chat.

Download the archive here.

Extract the iTalk.exe file into the folder where you installed iTalk. Extract the AquaControls.ocx into your System32 folder.

Download the grid ActiveX control here.

Extract the vbalGrid6.ocx file into your System32 folder.

Before you overwrite any of these files...backup the current versions first in case it doesn't work.

well, I updated fine but I do have a question/problem. I have successfully transfer 2 files (or so iTalk says) but I can't find them anywhere. Where are file transfers saved to?

#2576

The files are save in your "Application Data" folder:

...Documents and Settings\YourLoginName\Application Data\iTalk

#2633

Thanks jef, that helps.

I am having a few other issues with the latest build. Once I have time to document them and get some screenshots together, I will get the information to you.

If I added a hotmail account and password that no longer exist, how can I change that on my computer to an account that does exist?

I'm pretty certain that error means you have the wrong version of the vbalgrid6.ocx file. Did you make sure you downloaded the most recent one?

Hey jef, when you have a free moment, do you think you could look at my question on the bottom of page 1? :)
