I know people have talked about WindowFX and its feature to limit the size of maximized windows so it doesn't take up the whole screen but... I've never gotten it to work :slant:
I've set it to a size and applied the setting and everthing... anybody know what might be causing this to not have any affect?
Yeah I've got the same problem...the limiting doesn't do anything.
Yeah, same problem here.. I really wan't this to work.. I also can't get the windowFX icon in my running apps on the taskbar..
Have you guys tried emailing support@stardock.com?
Works for me and I don't quite know what might be causing the problem here. My settings - in case they are of any use to you guys - are as follows :
Width = 1024, Height = 690, X = 0, Y =10
There's an alternative called xBar 1.6 available here http://methodik.pixelarmy.org/, which I used before I converted to WindowFX. Perhaps you could try this one 
That also doesn't seem to work.. I wan't it to allway start the same, when I use xbar and I move the window around, close it and restart the program again, it opens the way I closed it..
hmm i don't have any problems about the maximizing size.. but it seems i can't get windofx to maximize to the specific location...
i never had this problem with an older version of windowfx..
amitsaraf32 what version of windowfx are you using??
I use v 2.11 and sometimes it goes wonky on me - after my machine has been up more than 36 hours or so. I've noticed that this usually happens after Objectbar crashes. Hmm ... go figure !
Anyway, it doesn't bother me much because I reboot once in 48 hours anyway 
hmm thats strange.. for me for some reason the newer the version get more messed up then the old one..
like wfx1.2 works better the 2.0 or 2.11/2.12
I never had problems with it besides the fact that when I open an applications that I had maximized that I closed it opens up shifted downward, but that can be fixed by remaximizing it.
