AveDesk 1.2 - Worth using yet?

Hi,

Recently I told you about a problem in this thread:

You said that in version 1.2 of AveDesk loading times would be faster so I shouldnt have the same problem. So has it been fixed yet? Im just curious to know as I really loved my old AveDesk desktop icons........

Yes.

Due to the changes to the saving/theme engine Ave has put in.

AveDesk 1.2 has MUCH BETTER SHORTCUTS so your large folder desklets will appear much more quickly. I would still advise against a sublabel for them, however.

well, large folders are not AveDesk related problems so there is no cure until next windows and even maybe better file system

but with same desklet setup as in avedesk 1.1, avedesk loads about 30x faster in my case!

i think in 1.1 long loading was because of antivirus, but 1.2 loads in few seconds besides antivirus in background
