Aqua-Soft ForumsAt the current moment I am still using AveDesk 1.1. I really liked the new version, and I want to use it. But how do I upgrade? Also, can I upgrade without loosing the current desklets/docklets that I have now? Thanks in advance for any help.

Yea.. I was wondering the same thing. Except I just ran the new exe and redid everthing :slant:
Here's what I did and it seemed to work for me. Shut down Avedesk. Copy your current Avedesk folder and all subfolders to a safe place. Unzip the 1.2 archive to the location of your 1.1 installation - tell it to replace any files with the same name. Run the unregister.bat file. Run Avedesk. I had to reenter the path names to my drive and folder shortcuts.
hallfs method is the way it should be done.
AveDesk 1.2 will automatically convert your theme.ini (old 1.1 theme) to AveDesk11.avetheme and rename the old theme.ini to theme.bak. In theory, everything should work, but there are some small things that cannot be converted.
I reccomend to use the Pidlshortcut, instead of the Shortcut, Drive, Folder, ReycleBin desklet. PidlShortcut can replace them all and offers the same functionality (and more), and works better than these 4 desklets.

On the Pidlshortcut, how can I display thing like Free Space, and total space, and precentage of free space.

Right click on the desklet and and check Show Sublabel.
You can format the sublabel in the desklet's properties under the Label Format tab. You can format the sublabel's font under the Label tab.
