My SysStats configs are all corrupted! :-(

Maybe it's an issue with SysStats 2.0 or maybe with AveDesk being multi-threaded now. I never experienced the problems myself, but I am sure that SysStats 2.5 will solve any issues. Now go bug Judge about a release date .

My .AveInst package don't install when using FireFox

This is actually wrong behaviour of FireFox. Internet Explorer and Opera do things correct.

Workaround: Save the file first to disk, then double-click it.

Still,... When double-clicking any .AveInst package, it doesn't install

Close AveDesk and run unregister.bat and next register.bat located in AveDesk's folder.Should be all fine now.

How do I set a shortcut to a folder (there's no folder desklet anymore)?

PIDLShortcut can handle this: Open the properties dialog for a pidlshortcutdesklet. Go to the Shortcut tab, now either manually enter the path to the folder or simply drag-'n-drop the folder from explorer onto the Shortcut-tab. Hit Apply and you are all set.

What's new in the FTP-droplet?

1) When you have an image on the clipboard, right-click the ftp-droplet and select Upload Image On Clipboard.

2) There's an option to automatically zip files that are being uploaded, in the Other tab.

3) You can now upload files that are on the clipboard.

4) You can cancel transfers.

5) Links with spaces and special characters are correctly parsed now.

Where's the OSX-like selected label?

Use the No Label or NoLabel label-background.

How can I disable a module (e.g. desktopgrabber) ?

1) Open the AveDesk Control Panel.

2) Go to the menuitem Extra->Modules->Modify Modules...

3) Select the module and hit the uninstall button.

You can see a sample implementation of so-called DropSettings

If you are on the label tab and want to make the Shadow Settings for both the Label and the Sublabel the same, simply hold shift, drag one of the Settings... buttons and drop it on the other Settings... buttons.

Hopefully, AveDesk 1.3 will have a complete implementation of DropSettings. I still want to do more research on how this feature is from an usability point-of-view.

Even after i did that like 5 times... none of the installable packages will install. Windows doesnt know what to run it with and i even made it so it could try to open with Ave Desk and it said that it was already running.

Hi Turbo,

Got the same problem yesterday.Un-register and re-register Avedesk didn't solve the problem.

But...try this. Put your installable desklets direkt to desktop and install it,from there.

For me it works fine. Don't know why...? but it runs :-)

Still doesnt work... :confused: So i open up the ave desk folder then double click AveDesk and that in stalls ave desk i guess right? then i go to installable packages and none work, and even what you suggested, with the desktop thing, doesnt work for me.

The program works because i can make stickies and the Say desklet works.

@Exon: PidlShortcut does the job just add a PidlShortcut desklet and point it to whatever drive you want.

OK, I have 2 questions:

1. What is the difference in setting the sublabel for a shortcut to the HD like this " %t, %f free" or like this "%2, %3 free"? It looks to me that there is no difference. Am I right?

2. I noticed that when I delete something from HD (into recycle bin), the amount of free space shown by the sublabel remain unchanged (although the file it's virtualy deleted). How can I configure the sublabel to show the free size ignoring the space ocuppied by the files in the recycle bin?
