i`m not against requests.

i am however against bugging Ave and 99% of these kinds of requests are aimed towards either him or herd.

i haven`t seen a third party desklet EVER (except Judge's fantastic SysStats) and that is what is pissing me off (herd is a co-dev of AD so his desklets don`t count )

i`m sure Ave would help ANYONE working on new desklets but i also doubt he will do this himself any time soon.

No. My request isn't aimed to exactly person. It points to whole community.

i'm making such widget for Konfabulator but it looks ugly and works bad.

and i will try to code widget for AveDesk but making widget for SysStat and especially for Konfabulator is times more easily that make a dll...

i would love to develop something like that on my own but im a complete nubee. with my knowledges of ansi c and java i couldnt win a bunch of flowers...

but if anyone is willing to teach me some basics... im open to that

haven't requests a request for this type of desklet been asked before??

there are ways to get around not having a foobar desklet you can always use a collection of shortcut desklets pointed to a winamp controller. and use Winamp API Emulator and have foobar emulate the winamp window..

or use the itunes desklet, Winamp API Emulator and iTunes2winAmp and the problem would be solved right??

A clean solution would always be better.. but then there will have to be a desklet for each popular player..

but at least with using the

winamp API Emulator and itues2winamp you can have it now.

and also this solution should work with all the other widget apps as well..

i have winamp API Emulator and a working itues2winamp, but i don´d know how to get the avetunes widget working with foobar. I need an specific format string in the api emulator?, would you explain what i need to do please?

but its not bad. or do you think great amout of good widgets - is evil?

i don't want use this weird scheme with winamp api etc. I want simple and clean solution.
