I've searched the boards but it seems nobody has the same problem as I. I run ObjectBar, ObjectDock, Y'z Toolbar, Y'z Shadow, and AveDesk. When I run Firefox (w/ safarifox and tabbed browser extension), everything is fine. However, under the same configuration, if I use WindowBlinds instead of msstyles, Firefox instantly lags up considerably (everything from loading the GUI to page scrolling). I thought this problem only related directly to WindowBlinds but once I quit ObjectDock, I found that the Firefox lag reduced noticeably (even though it still exists), so it seems there's some sort of incompatability in my combination of apps (maybe it doesn't have 100% to do with WIndowBlinds). Did someone ever have this problem and if so, was a solution found?
[help] firefox lag problem
hmmm.. i always though it was winfx/objectbar doing it to me.
now i'm starting to think stardock apps don't work well together.
Maybe 2 dif. stardock apps is the most one should use?
(i really hate the 2nd attempt firefox textfield lockout that stardock apps - I don't know which one/s - give.)
i have simaler problems. however, i don't know a solution. p2p programs also makes firefox worse, which i found by closing emule.
I know what are you talking baout Guys! I also have lag problem with firefox but only when I use Safarifox themes. Funy but lag isn't the only problem! When it lags it always display images on sites with strange background and my serachbar looks bad!! I found only one solution. Please don't poke fun on me but when I start iTunes it works absolutely great without any scratch. BTW I'm using windowblinds 4.5 with per app on Safarifox classic theme. Here's a ss when it lags(ohh and it also concern Thunderbird). Linky: http://www.aqua-soft.org/board/attachment....tachmentid=4606
Hmm...it seems quite a few people have this strange problem. In the past, a funny solution I made was that I actually launched Notepad, maximized it, and then put it underneath Firefox and it ran fine. However, this solution no longer works. As Internet Explorer and Opera seems lightning fast as ever, I'd rather switch but there's just too many good OSX Firefox themes available. Another strange thing is that this problem is inconsistent, it happens 70% of the time and 30% of the time, there isn't any lag, which is driving me nuts as there must be something during runtime causing this to occur.
EDIT: Just found out that switching to fullscreen (F11) avoids this problem.
