RightClick 1.0 released

Stardock has released a new program called RightClick. RightClick enables users to extend or even completely redesign the Windows desktop right-click mouse menu. When a user right-clicks on their Windows desktop, RightClick's custom made menus comes up. Users can add short-cuts, tasks, system commands, and much more to the menu. It's also fully skinnable and can be set to automatically inherit the user's current WindowBlinds visual style. For users who normally have their desktop covered up, a hot key can be set up so that will activate it at any time.

RightClick supports displaying running tasks, the Start menu, the system tray and virtually anything else one might imagine having on there allowing the user to replace the Start bar if they so chose (and in fact RightClick supports hiding the Start bar). RightClick is a free download. Users can purchase it stand-alone or as part of Stardock's Object Desktop.

Wow, ive always hated all that stuff i didnt use in my right click. This is fantastic. Go stardock!! Seems a little pricy for 15$, i think stardock should follow runasofts pricing modle and people woulnt pirate there software so much. I know i would buy window blinds if it wasnt like 20$, and was more like 5$, im shure 3 other people here would too.,

OMG! I can't believe this! I had this idea in my head, I was about to take action and start making this sort of program! NNOO!!!!! THEY GOT THERE FIRST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Oh well, I'll just use this instead.

Great....thereupon I already waited

#255792

anyone with more info how well this works?

from what i read on WinCust in the release post, things are not as smooth as i hoped would be :(

#255801

Does it really worth it?

#255906

It hasn't worked too well for me. It crashes ObjectBar pretty much everytime.

#255911

Works fine EXCEPT won't start on reboot as set in options. Now I don't need DesktopX any more:)

#255957

It kills ObjectDock Plus.

Uninstalling this P.O.S.

I mean it should at least work within it's own product line.

Edit: Uninstalling fixed the OD issue.

Don't know how this became a full 1.0 release... buggy as hell.

#255958

i must agree with RJ.

i installed trial version and it ****ed up OD+ and in my eyes it`s too buggy for a 1.0 release.

for me, OD+ is still the best thing that ever came from StarDock >.<

Worked fine for me. I have OD plus setup with different tabs/bars and rightclick running fine.

With you guys it might be an error between the keyboard and the seat. :)

#256024

Very nice.

#256030

seems like a program i'll want to try, but stardock's site seems to be down

has anybody else had this problem lately?

Let's see... without right-click, OD+ works... once installed... error on loading and crashes.

Remove right-click and OD+ works fine. Could be an issue with the version of OD+ maybe...

I'm running v1.04 of OD+.

This is definately not a PEBKAC (Problem Exists Between Keyboard And Chair) issue.

Would have been nice for Stardock to... I don't know say... put something about it in the release notes maybe.

Everyone does not renew their ObjectDesktop subscription, so product updates don't get applied once expired.

My two cents on the matter.

#256035

I didnt have any problems at all

my od plus and my ob has no problems must be luck. not sure what version it is I just download what ever i see when I run stardock central

#256038

i tried out the trial and it was ok..

i liked that fact that you can switch everything around but kinda sucks that you lose the new menu..

#256074

pointless program if you ask me...

#256078

i think i'll stay with alternative shells for right-click menus.

#256102

reinstall od+ and your problem is solved

#256547

well since this app costs money and comes from the same company as OD+, i would have expected these things to be fixed before the official release :slant:
