The Best Hosting Site

I search where I can host my site.

What's your favorite hosting site?

- Free

- No pop-up, banner and other publicity way

- No limit Data Transfer

- Support PHP

I know, maybe it's impossible

You get what you pay for. This is what I pay for...

Your criteria makes it impossible so why ask?

If you want it free you need to have pop-up ads and limited bandwidth. There is no free lunch in the real world.

If you want all those features you need to pay.

Reality is harsh , sorry

Do you know somebody that can lend me their telephone, with unlimited calls for free? Duh!

i haven't found any that good... you can do a search at www.free-webhosts.com with the criteria that you want. There are some good ones on there. My main concern was no popups/banners, and i found one w/ 20 megs of space (not that much... but you can use freedrive.com to host more files... or at least you could...?) and only 100 mb/month of transfer. Again, my site isn't all that popular, so i don't really need the bandwith...

Use apache, I made a whole tutorial about this, search it in the forum and you'll find the thread, its in General Discussion. ;) You must have broadband though. ;)

The closest to this will have a 1.1 meg file size limit and a single pop up on each page but if u leave the first pop up unclosed you will not be interupted again. You get a MYSQL Database + PHP + 50 megs.

I use http://www.eccentrix.com/

Its free, You dont have any banners on the page but you do get the odd pop up now and then, They are fast and stable, dunno much about the technical side, but you get 20mb which aint bad

And if you dont like having a long address go to http://www.dot.nu/ and you can get a wikid .dot.nu address eg. Kidda.dot.nu

But yeah you get what you pay for, unfortunatly nothing is free

Apache is totally free, it uses your computer as a host, and it gives you as much space for files as your harddrive can hold. So check it out at apache.org if you have broadband (unfortunately dialup services are not always on, and they are neither fast enough or stable enough to handle server capabilities). ;) Dot Mac uses Apache, and more than half of the internet's webpages are hosted by Apache, its rock solid, and has open source capabilities, so you can mod it if you like. ;)

kidda, you should try www.dot.tk then you can get an even simpler one...

i have www.yeldarb.tk w/ no extra popups, idk why moby hasn't shut his off... maybe he wants to support them... but to each his own...

btw, yeldarb is my name backwards...

wow, that was a lot of "..."s

:P <_<
