[Help] Monitor/Graphics problems

I my on my computer, In display there is only 2 colours and 16 colours, and only supports 640x480 resolution. Wondering, is this a Graphics card or Monitor issue? I have some other graphics cards I could use, But I would just like to know if this could be fixed by a Driver or an OS Upgrade (currently 98SE, but It would run Windows XP easily )

The screen is a 17" Acer Aspire 77s Monitor. :cool:

I have pleanty of other Graphics cards and Monitors (well, 4 to be exact) but I would prefer to use this monitor because of these features:

17", 2 Speakers both with subwoofers, microphone.

If I dont get a reply in an hour I will change the graphics card.

It seems that it is a video card issue, try another card with more memory on it and you 'll be able to get higher resolution and color depth. don't forget to upgrade your drivers too.

all monitors support the size and resolution that it's intended for. 15 inch = 1024x768, 17 = 1280, etc. so the graphics card should be the problem.

Thankyou so much truffle, My monitor is now 24 bit, but I will put in some other graphics cards and see if any support 32 bit. Now I just godda add a sound card
