Which Dock Is Your Favorite Now ?

Mobydock DX .75 was fixed and then still released as .75. It did fix some issues that have bothered me (like unexplained freezes and limited number of icons). Three days running now... no problems!

(I did try the Case 6 and Case 7 Yz Docks, impressive memory handling(!) but MDX has more features that I love).

first of, im glad to see people say "the [whichever] Dock is the best for ME" - and not coming out saying "This and that is the BEST DOCK everything else sux!".

Im seriously enjoying reading the posts here..

Moby dock dx9 is something i personaly love the most and thats my choice - although the new cases of yz bring me to *** 83 fps*** - 12 fps less than MD (kinda negligible).. - and thats kind of tempting (i've been a yz fan right after the .5 release).

In case yz had a flawless running task secion in the dock i would have had hard time deciding, but i would probably stick to MD, cause it is PURELY INDEPENDENT from other working tasks.

yeah, mobydock dx9 is the one for me. fps is not become a really big matter now. all three dock have done a good job with their high fps. for me, fast responsiveness and no freezing/choppy magnification after idle is the factor for choosing a dock. (more osx like). that is why mobydock become my choice. yz dock has become my default dock until version .7, has done pretty good job so far, and I think the most friendly dock among three. but mobydock dx9 with lot of features, is all the way for me

unless yz become more serious by implementing gpu and taskbar, I have a new option then :rolleyes:

Right now I like Y'z Dock because of it's features like pinning to any corner\side of the screen, it's great system icon support which is a major factor for me actually, (shows 128 icons from the system or .exe).

Right now all my application icons are loaded high quality out of their respective .exe's instead of out of the Y'z icons folder. Except for one application which refuses to be reshacked. This is how the dock SHOULD be. A developer could include a 128 icon in their program with the dock in mind and it'd use it, just like on OSX.

And for me it has real good speed especially the new patches for it.

And actually the way moby\objectdock handles tasks is a factor for me NOT to choose them (sorry to say).

What I would like though is a dock that has the OSX style task\shortcut area. The DX from MDX, system icon support from Y'z. Pinning to any area\side like Y'z\Objectdock. And the full skinning of skin a dock on OSX( to be able to skin individual icons as well as foreground and background bitmaps). And Y'z dock's docklets (but with more docklets available).

For me though even if Y'z only added the tasks the way I'd like them I wouldn't even think of loading up the other docks.

i have been using OD lately, it seems to be the best for me.

i tried out yz's but its just too slow.

moby dx is next on my list to try
