Mix the Pix have one, 17 inch I think, it's the best PowerBook icon that I see...also a cool 12 inch PB icon can be found on WOA 5.

I know this thread is really old, and I have searched here to find some, but everything seems to be taken off. Does anyone have some 12" powerbook icons they can post? Maybe one of the top closed, one open, and any other angles? Thanks!

Two in LHA Objects by Enhanced.
Several in Snow.E2 by Sascha Hohne.
One in Pure by rayform (Link).
Several in CHUMS by susumu (and a set called PowerBook by susumu).
One here which can't be shared.
You should be able to find all of these in a simple Google search (probably even the first result). I also have many G3 and G4 Powerbook icons.
Just want to make sure you guys remember who one of the original icon kings was .

Nope, I've given you all the Powerbook icons I have (though there are some older G3 ones, but you wouldn't want those). Check this out for converting icons. I misunderstood your question on sublabels under icons because I thought you were asking how to do it on Windows "like [it was on] my hard drive on my mac" .

Thanks again. I appreciate it. I guess my last question for know is, how come when I change a desktop icon on my mac using another .icns file, a black box appears around the icon. I downloaded this icon:

In the file, there is an .icns item, but there also is another not in a file, it says "document" as a type when I veiw the info on it. When I use this there is no black box only on the .icns. And the problem is, most of the icons I have downloaded are in .icns files. What am I missing?!
So, when I follow the instructions of copying that little icon, then going into Get Info of my harddrive and pasting over the harddrive icon, I only get the "ICNS" icon, not the image of the icon file. Like I mentioned, this is on a clean install of Tiger. My sister's upgrade was 'unclean', overwriting Panther, and I can do what I mentioned above.
It might be as if the icons are not transparent when I paste them...
Sorry, I wish I knew enough about OS X icons to answer your question, as it bothers me too. You can open up the .icns file in Preview and copy it from there to paste over the harddrive icon--it won't show the ICNS icon that way, although you will get a black box.
Hopefully someone else will be able to help.

There was one type of file that worked on the mac without using pixadex. It just copied right over perfectly. Do you know what file type this is?
the file type is called Standard Macintosh folder icons or cut & paste icons (as i know them as) - T/F
T/F are you being sarcastic, or do you know the file type that is in the link above that works. There is a .icns icon in that link, but that didn't work without pixadex, however, the other one did. I beleive it is the one labeled "SanDisk Cruiser icon" that, when you unzip is not in another folder, like the png's or icn's. If you go to the link and download it, you will see what I mean. Of course, if you already did that, then I am even more confused!
What don't you understand, bouda? travelfox makes perfect sense to me. The type of icon without any .icns extension is called a "cut & paste icon" or "Standard Macintosh folder icon."

I thought because of the "cut and paste icon" name, he was being sarcastic, just that some files work and some do not. Sorry. So instead of .icns, how are these files created? Also, how do I convert an .icns file to this? I know how to convert a png to and .icns, but is it possibel to convert an png or icns to a Standard Mac folder icon? Is there even a abreviation for it like .png or .icns? Sorry for all the questions, just trying to figure stuff out.
