sticky on the top:

Step 2: The Titlebar Text

1) Dowload this (updated to Safari 1.0) copy of brand.dtd.

2) Ensure all instances of Mozilla Firebird are closed.

3) Open C:Program FilesMozillaFirebirdchromeen-US.jar in WinRAR (or whatever) and find Localeen-USGlobalbrand.dtd

4) Replace this with the file downloaded in step 1.

5) Close WinRAR and open Mozilla Firebird “Mozilla Firebird” should now be replaced with “Safari”, like this.

otherside, i tried that, but doing that Firefox just wont open giving you some error, works only on Firebird.. thanks Itanium, thats perfect

#254959

you dont want to put "safari" in the titlebar. the real safari just has that page name.

#254960

sorry bAbYmAtTu maybe that file is too old for firefox 1.0

yes there's only page name in safari's title. :)

I did these in firefox 1.0 PR, maybe it'll still works in firefox 1.0 release

you can edit brand.dtd (en-us.jar/locale/global/brand.dtd) and replace

<!ENTITY brandFullName "Mozilaa Firefox">

with

<!ENTITY brandFullName "">

then edit browser.dtd (en-us.jar/locale/browser/browser.dtd) and replace

<!ENTITY mainWindow.titlemodifiermenuseparator "-">

with

<!ENTITY mainWindow.titlemodifiermenuseparator "">

There was a topic talking about this, but I can't find it now.

um...what's wrong with the titlebar tweaks extension that itanium recommended? it's what i use and it works perfectly. do yo have something against itanium?

#255217

i think he has something against itanium... lets kill him...

but on a seriouse note, that extension is not out of date, you must just be stupid.

#255229

lol... I guess he read this "Compatibility: (0.9 - 0.10)" and came running here to post it his discovery.

Only if he had looked better that there is a version bumped build posted too to work with 1.0 :).

And forgive him please :) Don't kill him.
