[Help] Itunes wont play these mp3?

I hope i post this in the right place...

I use iTunes to play my mp3, and it works great except for one cd i have... it just refuse to add it to the library and to play the songs. Nothing happens when i try to add them, they just wont show up.

Its in mp3, its MPEG layer 3 audio, 192 kbit/s...

any idea how to make iTunes to play them? Do i have to convert them, if so, how?

Thanks.

Right sub-forum.

Did you download these MP3s from a P2P program (like WinMX, KaZaA, et al)? If so they could be corrupted by either improper ripping.

Do they work in other MP3 players? Which ones?

I can play them with Winamp and Mediaplayer but not with iTunes though

if you got the files from a P2P make sure the ID3 tags are messed up.

i've got 192kbps Mp3's in my iTunes library, and they work fine.

i'd be willing to look at one of the files, and check it for errors, if you like.

Perhaps you could import them using WMP, take those specific files (the WMAs), and add them to iTunes Music Library. Have iTunes convert them to mp3 and edit your own tags.

i had encountered some mp3's like these before...they are not propererly encoded. other players may be less sensitive to such kind problems, but i'm pretty sure the problem is in the files themselve.
