A friend sent me this URL...

Against TCPA

Its basically a site opposed to a new technology to help stamp out piracy.

However it could potentially destroy individual programers and hardware manufacturers, leaving only big companies like Microsoft and Intel the free reign of our beloved computer industry. Have a read, since i dont completely understand it myself.

Personally, a few of the points they raise are contradictorial, and im not completely convinced. However i can see it as an unfortunate possibility.

I figured i would inform u good people (since it would kill most skinning communities), and I was wondering if anybody else had heard anything?

This TCPA is the next generation security software. Wow! It's 2048-bit Encryption! That is so COOL! Even hackers can't enter any malicious code. But TCPA prevents any unwanted software.

But the cons, i think, any software that is not approved by TCPA will be such or somehow deleted. I think. Or cannot be installed. I don't get it. This TCPA technology is uhh! I hope someone explains it deeper.
