[help] retaining menu changes when changing themes

Hi, I use ObjectBar and the current them I am using has a lot of modifications made from the original (such as menu contents) and seeing as I have many ObjectBar themes, I do not want to make these same modifications to each and every single theme. So, I wonder if anybody can tell me where the files holding the menu contents are in a typical ObjectBar skin and if it is safe to just copy these "content" files and replace them for every theme I have, or if there's any better way to approach this problem. in your stardock/objectbar// folder you should be able to find your way around. what i did was get 1 theme, mod everything to the way i wanted it, then from there made duplicates of the theme and just replaced all the images files with given theme. though some need some editing, but if you know what your doing it shouldnt be too difficult.

Thanks for the suggestion riot. I just found out that if I replace the Bars directory in all my other OBthemes (as long as they're based on crni's bar) with the Bars directory of the theme I have modified, almost all the changes carry over to the other themes (except for which items are hidden/not hidden and the music player buttons did not change, but those takes a few seconds to modify).

Just copy the directory "Bars" from the skin you have made modified menu entries to and overwrite the "Bars" directory of the other skin you would wish to have the same menus. For example, if I am using the Lutetium ObjectBar skin (and it has fully customized menus, etc.) and I wish to change to the Exec skin (which doesn't have customized menus), I would:

copy the entire directory

ObjectBarLutetiumBars

over

ObjectBarExecBars

The drawback is that icons (such as Network, Launcher, Gears, etc.) in the ObjectBar skin you just modified (in the example, Exec) may not display as they point to paths from the other skin (Lutetium), so you'll have to manually change these paths by right-clicking them -> properties, and selecting their icons, which are located in:

ObjectBarTray

EDIT: Please don't forget to back up your themes first.
