Link To A Shortcut?

I have a program that in version .67 of MD I had to set my dock icon to link to a shortcut to that program in order to get it to launch.

I can not get it to work at all in MD.75.

The properties of the Shortcut are...

Target: "C:\Program Files\Boss Man\Boss.exe"

Start in: "C:\Program Files\Boss Man"

Other than the "Start in" line, I can not find anything else that is special about the shortcut. Is there anyway to get this to work in MD? When I try to link to the program in MD I get an error that is looking for the ads.ini file that is in the same Boss Man folder.

Thanks for any help.

Drag the shortcut to Moby's dock, then see in 'item properties' if the path is correct. At this moment u can see: "Application-Path: C:\Program Files\Boss Man\Boss.exe" but you need to put an extra '.lnk' to link to the shortcut not the '.exe' directly -> "C:\Program Files\Boss Man\Boss.exe.lnk"

Of course, u may to be sure that there is a shortcut of that program there.

Hope this can help u :D

I've tried that :(

In version .67 when you draged a shortcut onto the dock, MD would then link to the shortcut. Version .75 seems to be always linking directly to the program that the shortcut is linking to. Which is a nice feature 90% of the time because then you can just drag links from anywhere like the start menu or desktop and not have to find the actual program. But, it's killing me here... :(

Anyone have any more suggestions? Maybe something in the Arguments: field?

Thanks again for any help!

Will someone please explain how to add new programs to the Moby Dock.

I have tried dragging an icon to it, but they do not move to the side like the previous version did.

***EDIT***

NM I figured it out
