Desktop Eject

So I created this small Eject feature to easily eject my CD drive right from the desktop. All I did was create an AveDesk shortcut, link it to a VBS Eject script, and give it an icon. Here are my questions:

1) Anyone else interested in this?

2) How would I go about distributing this?

I have no experience creating desklets, but would love some suggestions to get me started.

Wait a couple a days, AveDesk 1.2 will support installer-scripts.

As would I... what would be really interesting is if when you dragged it into the trash can, it ejected the cd like in OSX. That would be really cool. :D

Strange, I can already do that.

True, I do have to Shift+drag, but it still works.

Then again, it may be the RecycleBin desklet that I'm using.

don`t wanna be rude but what`s new with that?

i`ve had that for ages. i just used the same eject script i used for Samurize and voila.

nothing to jump out of the window, everyone can do it :slant:

Unbeliever- You are right, it is not all that new, and simple (as pointed out in my origonal post). Just that I have not seen anyone post this idea, but have seen a lot of posts on how to eject their drives. And from this thread, looks like people are interested. Thought it would be nice as a simple download-install for non-technical types.

I'm very interested about that little thing.

Also I am interested in a script to close the door of the cd drive.
