Ati Users Having Crashing Problems With Mobydockdx

I was having problems with Mobydock crashing for any reason at all when I would change settings, or just use it. I had the ATI Catalyst 3.2 drivers, and just today I downloaded the Omega drivers (modified Catalyst drivers) and those seem to have fixed my problems. Try http://www.omegacorner.com

Two problems I seem to notice that have not gone away:

When hiding/unhiding the dock, it literally crawls so slowly, I'm not sure if that happens for everyone. I like to hide my docks, but I can't put up with that sllooooooow crawl to get it back.

Also, with Directx 9.0a and a Radeon 9700 Pro, anytime I run my mouse over the icons on the dock, my CPU uses shoots to 100%. Isn't this dock supposed to fix that?

Lemme know about your results with the Omega drivers, or if you have suggestions about the remaining bugs. Thanks!

hmm well all i can comment is CPU shooting too 100%.. im not sure.. because mine only goes to about 60-80% never 100.. since nbow the GPU is used to render it.. but you msut remember.. it still needs ALOT of calculations done by the cpu.. and cpu level may very on different cards.....

even the real dock uses alot of CPU

I downloaded DX 9 just for MobyDock and it ran fine with old ATI drivers (not sure of the version). I then upgraded to the Catalyst 3.2 drivers and MobyDock still runs fine. The only problem I have with MobyDock (and Y'z, but not ObjectDock) is that after clicking an icon on the dock, there is a delay before the app starts up (and it's not the normal loading time delay). And then the icon bounces very slow for a short period of time. As far as CPU usage goes, one mouseover (depending on the speed at which I mouseover the dock) varies from 30%-50% usage. BTW I'm using an ATI Radeon 9700 TX with TV video card and a 2.40 GHz Pentium 4.
