I just got the Mac keyboard to use with my PC... im very happy with it.. wondering if anyone knows how to setup the media keys to work... or if they have ascii value i can program them with?
Just bought Mac Keyboard for my PC....
Mac USB keyboards work on Windows PCs (it's my handy backup when my computer gets confuzled)... Mice are another matter, though.
Huh. The Apple Pro Mouse works fine (minus no right-click) on all the PCs I have used.
dude it's just a usb keyboard that is beautiful and has command keys. same keyboard ~ better looking.
Yes I have to agree...it's the best keyboard I've ever used...although pricey at £80!...If my kids throw up over it....!? I got applekeys for the screen grabs (F13). Very nice piece of kit.
lol.. Im useing a mac mouse and keyboard on my windows computer right now, but only until my real mac gets delivered here
The keyboard, mouse, and speakers came early so im using then ![]()
so... which keys are for which? can somebody translate the apple keys to windows keys? there are some really odd keys i don't know how to make use of them yet.
Well in my experience of using this keyboard just for today, basically most of the stuff on the keyboard is the same as the windows keyboard....
Volume works normally
Apple key is comparable to the windows key
Control key works the same
ctrl + alt + delete works
Alt commands still work like in windows os
etc....
Its basically the same, only thing is there isnt a way to get the right click effect like on the OSX... that I am aware of other than by using the File / Edit / etc... menus.
i used a mac kb on a pc for a while. the thing i missed most? the freakin' prt scr key!
There is a tut something to do with this on OSX-E, But I cant remember what is whas. Something about using apple keyboards with pcs. Hope this helps...

its a great keyboard, the tactile feel is better than most PC keyboards that i use..
1. chalk white keys
2. great tactile feel
3. laser etched characters
On my Gateway 7405gx, the volume up/ volume down/mute buttons work!!!!!!, the only ones that don't work are the extra F-unction keys and the eject key.
has a great APPEARENCE with 2 usb1 ports in the backside, and now in canada apple just dropped the price to $39, in the usa, its only $29!!!
thanks guys. now i'm going to buy one. however, i cant' read the japanese site. can somebody explain the program in english to me? ![]()
edit: after searching here's an english version http://www.trinityworks.co.jp/US/software/...eKPro/index.php
Mac Mice work on Windows?!? COOL!
/me has one of the original black optical mice... that might explain.

Apple/command key on a Mac keyboard = Alt
Alt/Option on a Mac keyboard = Windows key
I use a Logitech Wireless Win/Mac keyboard that has the characters for both OS's on the keys.
That is how they translate according to the keymappings on this keyboard anyway.
what?
alt/option key is alt
command key is ctrl
ctrl key just for right clicking :
I know... it doesn't make sense, but that is what is on the keyboard I'm using right now.
