I know how you feel dude, I was frustrated and pissed off before with those unreleased stuff. But if you contact the author and ask them politely they might give them to you. We have to understand that some Mac themers don't want their themes to be ported to other platforms. As for Powermetal, I know someone is working on it, so just stay tuned, you'll get it for sure. At the moment you have Powermetal2 Guikit that has just been released to play with.

Heh, its amazing how we can get so frustrated over a theme though, admitdly while your infront of a pc, a nice theme thats soothing to the eye, becomes a huge benefit, and I can understand the awaiting of a theme only to see lots of people with beta's of the theme. I my self am desperatly wanting a port of Label'0's or milk2.5, what makes it worse is that my pc refuses to use windowblinds and randomly reboots when I install it.
well dont take this the wrong way... But that rant is just retarded..
Unreleased means:
A.) Permission was denied and unlike Matt0 I/They shouldnt release it to anyone, not even one single person cause its just a matter of time till everyone has it.
B.) Maybe the port isnt completed.. I can do a port and just make the taskbar look right but the rest is all messed up.
Now with people crying constantly why is it unreleased.. Well get of your ass as you say it in that rant and make it.. Plain and simple.. Then you try to get permissions
This community is declining rapidly from what it was 3 years or so ago..
And to say we only have a couple good themes and you cant make a decent screenshot with out the unreleased stuff is simply mind boggling..

I would concider highly offensive remarks like that Flamebait. - There are a million different ways of making your point without resorting to methods like that.
It is the human psyche to want what we cannot have - and although it is annoying to see that someone has the theme you have been waiting for, but at the end of the day there are more important things in life, than how your desktop looks.
The bottom line is - if you are that desperate for a theme, make it yourself.

one observation - instead of "begging for months" and writing useless rants, how about doing something on your own? I may be wrong but i don`t remember you releasing much (if any) stuff around here?
You say u`r stuck with "terrible-looking amateurish visual styles" so why don`t you make one of your own, instead of going around like a troll?
Do you even have a slightest idea how hard is to make a SINGLE element (and make it look good)? Do you know hard hard is to make a good graphics? If you knew, you wouldn`t be trolling like this.
And pple who port the themes but don`t release them are superioir to you. Why?
Well even though they know they won`t be granted a permission (COTL Themes for example) and without a permission they would be commiting a nasty sin of ripping; instead of whining like a baby about how some bad guy spent hours doing something and won`t share, they do it on their own.
You can whine all you want about OSX themers not willing to share their themes (it`s their right, they made it) and Win porters not willing to release the ports (they can`t release them without commiting a ripp) but that won`t change anything.
The bottom line is, fire up PS, SkinStudio/StyleBuilder and get to work, or shut the hell up and wait till someone gets the permission.
Oh, and if you don`t like the "terrible-looking amateurish visual styles", go back to Luna :slant:

I agree with Unbe in general. Don't rant, nobofy likes whining people. Get to work and try hard to make it perfect and again try very very hard to get permission. You'll see how nice it is to be praised for cool releases

yes that's right! but the other things of life here are OUT OF TOPIC
so leave the life were it is and let's talk about modding and visual and so on.
the real things is that there are ports made probably by only one ripper that give his works only to the 10-15 people he loves or that leech, that you see posting their screenshots (infact all the modding of konfab,samurize etc are ALWAYS the the same ; as like works has been passed from person 2 person )
so if you want consider that, it shuld be incorrect (and i am in little doubt..about)

I'd have to say that i'm with Unbe and pe8er... this community has strived over the years and since, there has been a lacking of understanding and respect.
Okay... Here's the thing... if you're an artist like ibanez and other artists out there... mac themers and so forth... we all know that you can't just take something that doesn't belong to you and call it your own unless you've proven that you can replicate and port it yourself, that's great.
Rant and rave all you want but what ibanez has done for the community is huge... he's taken the steps to try to port the work of macthemers alike... and well he's been denied the release of his port, it's simple.. he's taken somethign that doesn't belong to him yet.. he's asked the rightful creator if he can.. and as simple as it maybe "No is No"
As artists we have to repect each other and each other's works... if it's hard to understand then grow up a little and try to understand what the whole idea behind respect is. Ibanez has the respect of the old and some new members of this community and the next community that he belongs to... if you don't like it then fine keep it to yourself.
The things are too simple to making hot topic of them.
If someone can't release ported by him theme (don't have permission, for example) - it's not his fault, and don't frown upon him, because he's posting his screenshots. It is his right.
If someone don't want to share his port and, posting his shots, just are teasing others (I have it, but you don't! =p) - ignore it and leave him with it. You can live without another one VS.

Hmmm...so you are sharing the unreleased eXec Windows visual style, and you still think that it is "unreleased?!" Sharing is basically "releasing" to people, who then release to more people, and you have a pyramid release. But then again, one man's right is a another woman's wrong
i agree that "sharing" might as well be "releasing" but you cant tell me that there isnt some kind of "inner circle" where if your cool and popular enough, or buddy buddy with someone then they will "share" any vs without even thinking about it. i know all the people with unreleased vs' on this forum did not port it themselves. so whats different from "sharing" with your best butt buddy, or "sharing" with a random aqua enthusiast who wants a cool looking vs? either way its "ripping" and should not be done. personally i would love to port themes but i havent the slightest clue where they get all the high res resources to make it possible.

@zorda - how do you think pple who ported those VSs got the resources?
Either they got GUIKits or they made the whole thing from scratch.
And what does it tell you? Either be nice and make a friend who wlll help you getting the GUIKit resources or learn to do it the hard way. Should we hate the pple who are actually having friends and who have found a way to get what they need? Should we hate them for their skills?
Also if we were talking about programs you know what would this be called? Warezing.
Why? Well you are suggesting people should do something that is against AS rules, against the will of the pple who poured hours into their original work and against any moral rules we as human beings have.
If you want an unreleased theme, become friends with the author, port it yourself or stop whining.

porpouses and many good guys that works hard to give something special to all.
but i think also A.K.R. has the right ....
to post his frustration on something that (correct me if a am in wrong) don't

im glad you think that everyone in the world has enough money to go out and buy mac osx without even owning a damn mac! i dont have $129 to just throw out for an os that i can barely use in pearpc just for a port.

And as for your friend Roberto - having to live with that desktop - oh the pity, lets all have a whip round and buy the guy a Mac.
Or... he could use one of the many many free visual styles already available - or are you telling me he can't live with any of them and is putting up with that desktop until he gets the latest un-released theme?
Please feel free to reply to this post, by contradicting yourself again and again - thats if it isn't closed by the time I come back.
is there no spark of inspiration or creativity in you people? instead of whining, you can't turn it into motivation that drives you to create a theme that you believe perhaps is better? you don't need resources. everything started from scratch somewhere. do something productive for the community and maybe you will be apart of these "invisible inner circles" , or create your own cirlce. everyone has usable creativity, and making a theme doesn't involve any magic. and if you don't have the time to make a theme, then that's your own fault. there is no reason to be whining or ranting about it. i put hard work and time into my responsibilities in my workplace, and this in turn grant's me with a pay raise, but my co-workers don't expect me to share it with them. neither should any of us expect any hard worked theme to be shared.
(i forgot , is this not a community?).
no you're right, this is a community, but what have YOU done for the community that you expect to get something out of?
