[WIP] Somatic MSN 7

Hey everyone,

im Fizical from neowin etc.. i am working on an MSN skin to go with Somatic icons and even the theme.. however it wont match the theme perfectly cause msn doesnt like jagged edges like the theme has. anyway here is a WIP screen shot of how its going. hope people here are interested in this

there are some obvious things i need to fix with the main window inbluding moving the "block" text to the bottom etc.. but as i said its a WIP

and i have permission from david and i ahve PMd bz for permission as i used some of the resources from the wb skin.

thank you both for your comments i wish msn would allow me to do more with the interface in terms of the ripped edge and so on but it just wouldnt cut it, however i tried. the entire chat window except for the text area will be blue when finished and i will also have white text for the button text etc.. any suggestions on improvement are greatly appreciated.

ok im still waiting for permission from bz on some images.. if i dont get then i will need to re-do those areas.. as for the skin im thinking of doing 2 versions, one with a blue contact list background and the contact names will be white.. so for those of you with coloured names using msg plus you might want to use the white version OR accept that blue wont show up well on a blue background.

its still probably a little away because i have to make a somewhat reasonable website and buy the hosting package im interested in then get the installer happening and put it up on my site, a launching skin.

thanks a lot for your comments, much appreciated.. if you can check the first post i'll have it updated with a more up-to-date screen shot... still got some text colours that need editing and need to fix that damn scroll bar but other then that comming along well.

im still going to release this but im not sure if it will look the same.. anyway it is comming and if i dont get it out b4 the final msn 7 then i will definately release it when it goes final.
