vaporware thread

this is a site that proved a big point. also, look below, and find why longhorn was delayed.

"Microsoft's successor to Windows XP was originally promised to ship in 2004, though the company subsequently pushed the launch date to 3015 or something. Obviously, Microsoft won't be able to finish the code until it's had a peek at Apple's forthcoming Tiger"

hahaha :) sad... but very very very true

That was a very insightful article. If it wasn't for that top ten list I could have almost forgotten about that SLI thing Alienware was generating mountains of hype about. Shame on all these companies.

Though I must say I was surprised they didn't list L-computers (aka Lieberman Inc.).

Now, everyone knows that was possibly the most magnificent piece of vaporware to ever hit the web.

Thanks for sharing steelfist.

#249357

good call unbe!

#249361

i believe that minium and others will be listed if it is the top 20 or more. they just wanted to list the most obvious vaporware out there. also, just to let you know, cherry os isn't released yet and is postponed to what, quarter 1 2005? what an idiot. sad to see no more cpu speed wars but cell processors and other projects would seem promosing.

#249448

if the CELL chip is anything close to what ive read... we wont have a war, we'll have a demolishion in terms of procession power..
