Benefits of Window Blinds 4.5 for OS X-like skins?!...

Just a small question.

I am a Aqua enthusiast (in windows) Just thinking what are the benefits of Window Blinds 4.5 for Aqua/Mac OS X like skins.

Are the new features in WB helpful to create a more realistic Mac OS X look for Windows??

With Warm Regards,

Sithan.

Going on what bzeitler has noted in his post on the front page, I can only guess that sadly it won't make any real impact in the way of 1:1ness in a theme, being that he mentions that the alpha blending is limited to standard menus (which are square edged in osx anyway) and the start menu (which, if you're really going for 1:1, you probably won't be using).

I hope that alpha blending is available to more though, it seems odd that they would not implement it into the window skinning part, where the biggest issue is with, for example, rounded edges for osx windows and see through edges for aero stylies, and so on.

Having said that, WB using alpha blending is definetely a step in the right direction, and I guess it shouldn;t be too many versions away from support for alha blending on all gui bits. :)

I must say, WB is just getting faster and faster. I suspect that this alpha-blending is a test to see what kind of performance hit we will take before implementing it further. The real shining feature of this release is the new coloration support. It is fantastic.

Yap, I found it runs faster then before. As fast as StyleXP or even more faster.

So what's the best OS X skin out there for WB?

WIth hardware acceleration on, it is nearly as fast as classic for me.

i doubt it'll be faster than 4.4 with all the new features
