Today, I wanted to change my Downloads folder icon, so I went to the properties of the folder and then to customize tab, after that, I clicked on 'change icon' and my comp. crashed and I had to restart it, ever since, I tried several times and couldn't do it (and I restarted several times too..)
what to do??
You could try deleting the folder, making a new one, and changing that icon. As long as that's the only folder that's doing it, its probably just Windows being stupid. I'd try that and if that didn't work then maybe try a third party app that switches icons. Microangelo has an icon switching utitlity bundled with it. Hope that helps...

yeah... I think that helps. although, I won't delete the folder because it's kinda important.. u see it has almost 3 GB of downloads..
Try FolderWizard, by Ken, to see if that changes the icon. You could also move the contents of the downloads folder, delete it, create a new one, change the icon, and then move everything back.
