Perhaps many people haven't known yet that Google just release Picasa 2 with many interesting features (password protect collection, and many more - some like features in Tiger's iPhoto).
Sadly, the interface of the new version is very bad (even compare to the old one) (who is Google? they're famous for simple & beautiful interface. What happen?)
Nevertheless, can anyone create a new interface for it? I'm don't know for sure how, but ...
I'd really have to take issue with you there. I much prefer the new interface to the old one - It's much sleeker, and the fades between different screens look great! - I'm a big fan of the more simple colour scheme and button look and feel.

However, it would be a lovely idea for someone to have a shot at replacing some of the components to make it looks more like iPhoto. However, I know this is far from an easy task. Something was done for the first version.

yeah this version is very great compared to the old one. but we the aqua fans love it best if that will look like the iPhoto. So to the people who love to create skins please create one for this.

Yes, its effects and features are still as greate as it was (even more), but some aspect of the design, especially the scrollbar (screenshot). The Search box doesn't look as smooth as it should be (it's square, while all the others like button, windows are smoother)
Also, I can no longer display the album icon as a thumbnail of one of the images in that album (instead, it displays the default folder icon)
Hope the one who create the skin for Picasa 1.6 will soon do the same for the newest version
