Aqua-Soft Forumsi want to have my taskbar w/ the shadow, but everytime i maximize a window, it has the shadow overlapping my window! help!

Yz shadow is very buggy...
especially if you re using Object Bar
that s why i think it s better to modify your wallpaper and add a shadow...
i dont know how... i m not an expert in photoshop...
but i d like to lean..

Agreed. Y'z shadow is kinda old by now and hasn't been updated in ages.
I used to use (quite the scentance) Y'z but experianced way to many what I call 'sticky shadows'; apps with shadows left shadows behind, when the app was allready colsed, moved or minimized. Never had that since I made the switch to WindowFX.
The latter (wFX) hasn't been updated for a while too, but at least it's not abandonedware and I think I remember Frogboy mentioning it was to be updated soon (?)

That's because of the hardware acceleration.

I don't know whether or not you are using ObjectBar but I find the shadow overlaps maxed windows with both WindowFX and Y'z Shadow. The only thing I can find that stops it is to set Objectbar's settings to "do not dock to any edge" and to uncheck "always on top".
Though I use AveDesk to do the shadow now, looks great, doesn't overlap and don't have to draw a shadow on every wallpaper I use.
