[Request] Domain

Hi,

I am planning on amking an aqua site, hoping it will go well, with a friend.

I was wondering, are there any sites that offer a free domain? (.com, .net, .org, .etc)

I don't care how much space you get because I am just going to transfer it afterwards.

BTW, if somebody has a host that has unlimited domains / would be willing to get me one that would also be great.

No, why would anyone give away free domains? Sometimes companies have raffles for them, but not free ones without some form of payment (buy this package get a free domain).

There is no free hosts/ domain.

Wuzzie it looks like your living in the world I was about 7 monthsa ago, nothing online if free. Not even those iPods.

1and1 has a deal in witch if u purchase any of those packages you get free domians. The cheapest package with is what i used as my example is 5 bucks a month, and it includes 1 domain. The second package includes 5 domains etc, but be away that once u switch hosts you no longer have the domian. So you cant use it for a month and switch to lets say Contrast hosting and keep the domain. :slant: It's bascially rented...

Domain names cost $6 a year. Hosting can cost as little as a few dollars a month. If you can't afford that, don't ask for handouts. There are a billion places with free web hosting if you just have to post something. Beggars can't be choosers, and all that.

Even if you were to find a free host/registrar, it wouldn't match the quality you get with a pay host. For $3-5 a month, it's not worth the hassles you'd have to go through.

I do remember the DotCom era though. Everything was free. I didn't have to pay for an ISP until around 2000. :-/

Freewebs will give you a free .tk domain-- it's just in a frame that directs back to freewebs hosting/domain name.

does anyone know of a cheap australian hosting site?

I'd prefer it being from my own country.

I just want:

] 5 + POP3 email addresses
