[help] Sound Blaster Audigy 2 Value Drivers

I got hold of a Sound Blaster Audigy 2 Value but it doesnt have the drivers. I've put the card in, but windows refuses to install it properly. I've tried downloading all versions of the Audigy drivers but none of them work.

I've also tried removing the drivers etc, removing the card, restarting, moving the card to another slot. Every time XP recognises the card but won't install it. I've tried manual install, and installing the drivers direct from the Sound Blaster Driver file... nothing works!

Has anyone got any ideas?

from my experience, soundcards prefer the last pci slot.

xp shouldn't be installing the soundcard, since the drivers aren't built-in.

which ones have you tried? http://us.creative.com/support/downloads/download.asp

I also have a Audigy 2 ZS soundcard, and I found out on the website they only have the updates for drivers not the original full install. It took me many days looking for my original instal disks, thank God I still had them, that came with the card to get it to work.

You might need to find someone that has the original disks and get a copy or use their's to install it..

This seems to be exactly my problem - I can't find the orginal drivers anywhere - just updates!

@Dreamz - thanks for the help. I've tried every single driver known to man apart from the elusive original drivers!!
