Recent A-S Outage

Hey all, Rich w/ Contrast Hosting here.

Figured I'd let you guys know what's up.

Someone decided to DDoS (Distributed Denial of Service) Attack A-S. So some of you have noticed it being a little slow and whatnot.

I believe I got it all cleared up for now. We have some decent DDoS Filtering, and our servers are pretty powerful so they take the load really well.

Sucks some people have to go and do things like that, but I figured I'd post an update here, since this is a really cool community you got here.

On a legal note, if you do have the ip, can't you report it?

It gave me a "The connection was refused" error earlier, but it works fine now. Who thinks Microsoft or Apple are behind it?

was way more than 1 IP and they were most likely DDOS bots, meaning backdoored computers, so not much worth reporting. Though I do have a nice list of IP's I can turnover if it happens again

As long as they don't succeed. However, should it happen again, we can handle it. There's supposed to be 20,000+ A-S users, so I'm pretty sure some of us can do some stuff...

I do not condone retaliation. I prefer just filter it out and end it there.
