[Ann] iTunes 4.7.1 Update available

Well, I opened iTunes this morning and saw that there's an update for iTunes and I was soooo happy because I loooove updates. so, here are the new stuff I saw:

1. a new skin that looks like the Mac iTunes (but there's no File, Edit, View... exc. don't know why..)

2. the + butten that suppose to Maximize and Restore Down, now switches between the regular size and mini player.

Well.. that's all the differeces I saw... if u have more then post..

Ahhhhhhhhh... Download iTunes 4.7.1

Ohhh.. gonna check it out. Always wondered why they didn't make restore button to mini player, better still they could have made it an option which version you prefer.

Still grabbing it now..

EDIT: Didn't notice any differences myself. The maximise button still does what it's always done and visually it looks the same as before.

You do not make a release thread of something you havent done, its a link, as UnbleShuffle said; better yet, it is an announcement [Ann]

You will also be surprised to know that there is a cross-platform software forum in which this should have gone in the first place.

that CAN't be itunes native interface.

Look at the glyphs , they are not mac os x glyphs , they have a sort of blank border and ther avec too saturated to be os x one's , they look like many of not 1:1 panther or tiger skins.

dorsc, that is *definitely* not the standard Windows itunes in your screenshot. You must have Multi-Plugin installed (overlays Mac-style buttons and hides titlebar).

doudou4ever- this is fairly typical of Apple's iTunes updates... they don't really make a huge deal about them. But it is the day after their big yearly keynote speech/presentation, so that's when they announce all new products, software etc.

That post is in reference to the deDRMed versions of tracks on the guy's iPod. He couldn't play songs that he had bought from iTunes Music Store and then "scrubbed" using Hymn/JHymn/iOpener to remove the DRM restrictions. This isn't unexpected as this sort of issue happens just about every time iTunes updates.

For everyone else - If you don't know what Hymn is, then you have nothing to worry about.

it showed me that exact message after intalling but after I reinstalled it, it was fine.

about the multi plugin- I definetly didn't installed it! and nobody of my family have any interest of cusomizing my computer... does anyone have an idea of how this got to my itunes??
