It looks bad because you mirrored the eyes, there is no difference between them (exept horizontal flipping). Eyes like this just don't exist. Maybe you should try adding some details, moving some stuff to make them more realistic?

Perhaps you should actually look at the picture Pe8er! my sig is a flipped image where as the full size wall is the original image......
[edit] I've also updated my sig - which will show it properly. I shouldnt be so lazy :S and done it to begin with.

I guess I'm missing something and I need to get my eyes checked, because each of those eyes looks slightly different to me, especially comparing the eyelashes, the eyelids, and the eyebrows.
Maybe it's the pupils that are the same, you know the open space inside the irises. I think the irises may be the same as well. Both have an image the Union Jack reflected in them. Actually,I think one of the downward angled stripes of the Union Jack on the lower right is exactly the same brightness in both eyes. Oh no, sorry, that was the reflection of my desklamp off of my own screen.
Okay, sarcasm aside, they look great to me, and I have a great eye, two actually! Keep up the good work!

It was my fault as my signature had an old image where I had flipped the eyes, where as the wall uses the original 'normal' eyes. I've updated it now so there can be no confusion.
