Jesus Franco.tk is back

I am very happy to say that Jesusfranco.tk is back. It is back online this time a completely new site. It is being hosted on my computer so if the site is not avaliable well you guessed it. Im sleeping.

After using Fedora Linux I switched to Ubuntu Linux thanks to Flarex's sweet talk .

I installed server services (not going to give to much detail now....it's my security were talking about.)

I decided to go with Wordpress for my site. It's bloging software for those who dont know.

I am very happy that I am hosting my own site. Last time I did this it was using WebServ that was found on this site. And it was dog slow. Now I learned enough to use more advance tools and such so I am very happy.

The skin I used can be found at this site. Alex has some of the best skins for wordpress I've ever seen. The skin however is only teporary until I get used to GIMP engough to make my own.

The site will have my releases for Linux, Windows (yes windows), and stuff that is crossplatform like icons and wallpaper. I wil also use the site to post stuff that I find nessesary about my life and other world releated things.

Hosting your own site is a bad idea.

Go through this:

Do you have a firewall router?

If yes, and it has wireless: is wireless turned off?

Do you have the best firewall software you can find/aford?

is the username/password to edit the site something obvious? (admin:admin, jesus:letmein, username:password)

I'm on a 1meg line and it times out within 10 seconds... not really the best idea hosting it on a home pc... but what would I know?

The site is loading so slow now because I'm on Windows XP and the server is running thru some apps, I'll be back on Ubuntu tomorrow so check back. It should be much faster.

Once agian my damn idea for hosting my own site failed...ignore the entire ****. :mad:
