The Web Server may be down, too busy, or experiencing other problems preventing it from responding to requests. You may wish to try again at a later time

And... Thankx sketching!

Dockex.com is dead. the owner of the site left a while ago, and no new docklets/desklets have been released on the site. which is sad because it used to be a great place to find a whole bunch of docklets/desklets all together.

Where did you get that lie from?

... I will be back after I finish my grad research - somewhere around May 2005 ...

Just read the first news item from December, 18.

Even though he could not actually spare the time, he took the time processing new developer applications like that of Shmengie's.

No points for planting malinformed rumours, really.

As for the network timeouts, well DockEx too is hosted at this particular webhoster who has been under siege by distributed denial of service attacks and some of the bots were using common ISV IPs so that you too get affected from the resulting IP range ban like thousand others, welcome to the club man.

alright let me rephrase that sorry, its temporarily a ghosttown.

Whatever you people call it, I simply can't access the site which makes me a looser eventually and I've had enough of googles to find a liberary of Dock/Desk-Lets and stuff like this :( I think aqua-soft should make a liberary.

Now I totally agree with you. They usually give the standard message that they will be back and they're actually saying good-byez... lol plus, look at the date... "May2005" by then, we all would have even forgotten the site as new ones have popped up.

Now thats nasty! for how long a person can be behind the excuse of DOS attack(s)? where went the Anti-Viruse/FireWalls etc etc? No one can stay under seige for LONG unless you're one of those Tsunami people.

Chill, Oxtie. Look here at the small excerpt from dockex front page:

There are constantly new docklets released.

As I said, maybe you got yourself an IP- range ban. DDoS attacks last as long as the botnet master tells so. Workaround: try another ISP.

Ehhh, something screwey going on with this website. (all the time). I see a box popping up and saying "A script on this page is causing mozilla to run slowly. If it continues to run, your computer may become unresponsive." It is soooo irritating. Oh yes, about the links COOOOOOL :)))))))))) basically my mood was spoiled with this box popping upon every link I click. As I'm on dial-up, it makes me wait for 10 sec extra so you can imagine the situation.

Anyhow, kinda nice to fetch those linkiez :) I still hope one of Aqua site goes for liberary make-ups.

1. do you have anything blocking the site?

2. can you ping it? if not, I would say there is a problem with routing from yout location to the site, because I haven't ever had a problem connecting, even now.... as I am on the site in another tab and can download as I like..

#248298

I think that script error is a bug in mozilla....

Firefox, Netscape and Opera never get it, and Mozilla never did until I updated to the latest build two nights ago.
