Aqua-Soft ForumsI searched and found some interesting threads, but they turned into "why aqua dock is illegal crap". So, I currently use OD, and like it, but I've seen Aqua Dock around and like how it can use Y'z docklets. Which one of these two uses less resources? And sometimes, when im doing other stuff, then i go to OD, its laggy for a few seconds, does Aqua dock do this also? Thanks..
Less resources, Less Lag...ObjectDock/Aqua Dock
IMO just try out Yzdock and see whether it lags or not with your system. Things like that may vary from system to system so it's hard to generalize 
I've used both Yz (aquadock) and OD, and I find none of them lags. Yz uses less resources than OD but it offers less functions than OD too.
Oi. Get ready for two, count them two flame wars to occur.
Firstly, the reason why they turn into an "aqua dock is illegal crap" thread is because it is. Aqua Dock is nothing more than a Resource Hacked version of Y'z Dock. Y'z Dack has received a C&D like the Aqua Apps. I don't know why download sites still have it available for download it is the EXACT same thing as Y'z Dock and therefore has the same legal issues applied to it. I know you read all of the previous posts so I don't see how you don't understand that. I don't know how much more we could emphasize that using is legally wrong and a slap in the face to the real creator, Mr. Yamaguchi (I think that's him, sorry if it is not) of Y'z Dock which was a masterpiece.
Second, "which dock is better" never ends well either. If all else fails, try them out for yourself. Each computer acts different to each dock.
Ok, thanks. That makes sense. At the moment, I have 1gb of pc800 RAM, but this coming wednesday, i'll be on a rig with 2gb of pc3200, hopefully that will make a big difference.
IEDIT: I know, and im not trying to understand about it being illegal, i could care less,, im just letting you know that I did use the SEARCH button, and that everytime I found a thread that could help me out, it turned into a "aquadock is illegal" thread before i got an answer.

Don't suggest how to get hold of copies of Y'z Dock or the rip - Aqua Dock - as Mr. Yamaguchi asked that it no longer be distributed.
We at Aqua-Soft respect that, and any suggestions of how to obtain it are not allowed, as these go against Mr. Yamaguchi's explicit requests.

try both, i find objectdock runs better and has more features than y'z dock
Object Dock's magnification is so off from the real Mac osx dock it isnt even funny. Most people use it for other reasons. If you want the best OSX duplicate then use YZDock (I will not tell you how to get it) Also try keeping a close eye on THIS project. I belive RK Launcher will be very promising and a break thru for emulation, kinnda like when neXplorer came out.
