Aqua-Soft Ventrilo Server

Hi,

Has anyone ever used Ventrilo? It's like teamspeak but it's more open. You don't juts have to use it for games. I'm suggesting that Aqua-soft has a Ventrilo server (i mean, to replace the wiki maybe?) It really would be an interesting concept, that we could all speak to each other. And the admin and moderators can have their own channel. Meetings could be held faster than just PM'ing or emails. I don't know why i thought of this but it seems like a good idea!

I'll grant you, it's a good idea, but, like most things that we try at Aqua-Soft, it won't work - it'll get a few users using avidly for a month or so, then fizzle out into nothing.

Well Ventrilo is curently being developed for Linux and Mac osx, and the most practical use for it like Pwnzrzpat said would be for meetings and such.

i searched google briefly and no there is no mac version of the client though i saw like 10 servers for different os's. try using virtual pc as a site said it works on that.

EDIT: Actually on the DL's page there is a one for a server and it's v ersion s.s.0 like the rest. mgiht as well try it to the people who have mac osx. im glad so many people like the idea

Why not just create a irc chat room? Plus how many staff members are there? The newsposters wouldn't really need to be in on the conversations. Only the more important staff members like admin / global mods.
