I'm finally replacing my 6.5 year old HP Omnibook Sojourn (one of the thinnest notebook computers ever made). She has served me well but it's time to put her out to pasture.
Just wanted to get some opinions on what essential software I should get for my new toy...

I hope Ill be getting my ibook within the next few months.
I know I've posted them in the other thread, but it just *has* to be said:
Quicksilver. A fantastic app. Kind of like spotlight for Tiger, but with much more functionality. Have a browse round their forums to see what is does.
Virtue. Virtual desktop manager. Alpha-release software, but really good.
OK, I would say more, but I've been drinking with a friend and have had at leats half a litre of home-brew sloe gin and am feeling fragile. Hope you like your new partner and don't hesitate to PM me for any help/tips you may want.

i know chances for G5 PBs are next to none but the paranoid part of myself tells me u should have waited. :slant:
Even if they do announce a G5 PB, it would cost a zillion dollars so I'm happy with the G4. Speaking of which, I was able to get the educational discount which knocked off almost US$400. (I discovered that they don't do any verification when you order from the "education" store online. So even though you aren't in school you can still get the discounted prices). However, it's been almost 2 weeks since I ordered it, and I still hasn't arrived. The UPS tracking page shows no activity since last Thursday. I WANT IT NOW!!!!! LOL LOL
