Hey, I'm not sure if anyone else has seen this, but I almost died when I saw it, this is incredible. This game used to be my favorite (I still have AOE II installed) this is so incredible. There's 3 screenshots and 1 article. Now as pictures are a worth a thousand words, here are the screenshots.

I love Age of Empires! I went to Best Buy the day AOE II came out, and I had the homecoming dance in highschool 3 hours later that night, lol.
Too bad there's no release date or even estimated release date like Q4 2005. Oh well.

I don't have AOE II but I still have AOE I installed and play it quite regularly. I've been meaning to get two, now I have three to get whenever it is released as well!
edit: Time for a new graphics card it looks like as well. I don't think the integrated Geforce 4 MX will handle that...
Yep, almost died this morning when I saw this, my only complaint is the time, the game takes place, I still think AOE2/TC is the best RTS game out, AOM was a disappointment, never liked the first one, I just hope the fact that they changed almost everything, that it still feels like the same game. Also would prefer to go back to that ms zone crap, because their ESO was utter ****.
I hope they port this to OSX....
Yeah I played AOM for months until I got bored of it, AOEII was one of my main games till I switched to AOM, its one of those games that takes an hour to learn but months to master (without cheaks "phillycheesesteak" lol).
It looks so nice.....
I just hope they don't make it span to the future like most of the newer 3d rts games out there. Because then its just a race through the ages.
[EDIT] i was reading the article and its says its from the end of AOEII until the industrial age. That sounds pretty good.

damn!! those graphics and detail is awesome!, i'm gonna love this. i think its gonna be evne more fun then aom and aomx. i knew for like 6 month that they were workin on somethin in the genre but i wasnt sure if it was gonna be more like aoe or aom... i'll have to get this a few weeks before everyone else

this and other programs are clear evidence that no matter how msdos ey or crappy the first generation is, it still has potential. look at doom 1, and half life 1 they are nowadays considered crappy. but look at it's potential. never dump a program and give it a chance

but games like age of empires and and of kings were good from the very biggining, because they were some of the first semi3d games, and the single player compains were awesome.

Also AOM was't my cip of tea specifically because I don't like gods, and powers, and magic crap I like guns swords and arrows, and fire :cool:

I guess I'm far too old-fashioned... AoE II has been my favourite game for a long time, and I wish AoE wasn't so 3D as it seems in the screenshots
