So I think it is time to make a whishlist for the great author, Jeff.

So please write your requests here.

And Jeff! Please read all this, cause this is your best place for

real professional feedback!!!!!

So Iam starting.

1 The trash icon should be placed at the right side next to the separator /currently to the dock taskbar area /

which now is impossible.

2 The whole dock should be a bit higher, the indicators in macs never overlap the icons.

3 THE MAIN THING!!!!!!!! OSX LIKE MENUS FROM THE DOCK! /REAL GOOD LOOKING, SKINNABLE MENUS/

4 At macs the indicators have their own animation.

The rest is yours guys!

Dock Preferences

If we could reach these modifications/additions I think the whole Finderbar-Dock emulation would be complete!

Then, we could make objectbar/dock a shell replacement. Just add basic desktop icon support, and use Alilms finder, and weve got one cool product.

"So, anyways, I got [the] update and I was talking to Jeff Bargmann on an instant messenger, and all these bad memories of me trying to make that Hollywood/Homestar/Zappa theme a month ago flooded back. I think my demands upset Bargmann a fair bit, but here's what I want:

I want to be able to change that ugly folder/wrench icon used when the properties dialog appears without just overwriting the .ico file that comes with the program. As is, I can't just right-click on it to select something new.

I want shortcuts to UI functions like the FIND FILES dialog, or maybe the SHOW DESKTOP button, or the system properties dialog or whatever. I can just make my own (via the tips found on Virtual Plastic, the greatest site in the world), but somehow including a bunch of .VBS files and a note on how to use them in the .zip of my theme seems a little impractical. Objectbar has this, to a certain extent."

I think that 0.90 release is great but, as all programs, when a new version is released, new issues comes up; and, when the issues are small and not-critical as me it seems to understand, it means that the program it's really good.

I'm a professional developer and I know how hard is to make an app (any, small and big) stable and complete; in more when it is made in the free time !!

Everyone it thinks that its demands are importants but perhaps, at this point, the objective has gotted lost. I thought that the Win-compatible docks target is the closest way to emulate Mac OSX dock and, in this case, it seems me the only thing thats lacks is the skinned menus.

But if the objective is that one to realize a new application that "seems" a MacOSX dock but as many things more, good anothers great idea !!!

So, Jeff, stay tuned and "capture" the features for your great dock that they serve to its true scope

Acually he easiest way to allow ObjectBAR to access objectDOCK functions, or any other DOCK's functions, is if those DOCK programs allowed for Command Line functions...

You can simply put the command line function in a objectBAR function, and that could allow you to manipulate the dock's settings.

i would really like to see the taskbar functionality more mac like.

if you open aim and 3 windows, just show one icon for aim. when you click the icon, the buddy list and all associated windows come to the front. i dont' know if that is possible with windows, but with the "program class" in the icon menu, its seems like it might be possible. then, any minimized windows go to dock.

menu's are good, but i don't use them incredibly often on my mac.

hope to see this come in, maybe as an option to turn off and return to current taskbar functionality.
