avXicons - the original Mac version

I've been searching for a long time for the original avXicons by Achim Vedam, I know kol converted to XP here: http://www.deviantart.com/view/2032300/ but I want the mac version.

From what I've found from the web, the original set was entered into Iconfactory's pixelpalooza competition: http://iconfactory.com/pp_listing.asp?category=OSX but it's no longer there anymore I think it was way back in 2002.

I have tried with Iconvertor to convert the .ico files to mac .icns, it was successful but the images have blue bits and other problems. So it seems the conversion isn't great going back the other way.

If anyone has them, or know of a better way to convert the icons so they retain their quality, please help

I was able to convert them with iconverter; however, they look like crap. I think that the person that converted them to XP didn't do such a great job cause they look like they appear in the deviantart preview image.

I have been using Iconvertor and I got the same results.

It's ok now, I've managed to convert them via a very long winded method.

For those who are interested, I used Axialis IconWorkshop for XP to convert the ico files to transparent pngs. Then brought them over to the Mac and used Iconverter to convert the pngs to icns.

There most probably is a quicker way, definately one not involving PC and Mac, but I've got them now so am happy
