Aqua-Soft Forumsokay, maybe not hilarious, but kinda funny...
after going graphite with th a-s skin, i decided to switch from kol's tiger aqua to kol's tiger graphite. only problem? my blue searchbar desklet sitting on top of the graphite spotlight icon. yuck! so i decided to post a request for help in the digital studio forum along the lines of: i'm a PS moron. how can select the whole png and adjust the hues in one swell foop? (as i think about it now, it's probably just a simple saturation adjustment.)
to illustrate my request, i had a copy of the blue icon and had taken a screen of the graphite icon and was ready to upload for insertion in to the post. suddenly...light bulb!
i had just taken a screen of exactly how i want it! a tiny bit of cropping, rename it and...tada! i had my graphite searchbar icon!!
doesn't sound funny now. guess you had to be there. i guess the funny part was spending all this time typing the post, getting the images ready and having the icon right in front of me and not realizing it.
HA. HA.
but, like any anecdote, i suppose there's a lesson to be gained. maybe someone else in the same situation will have read this, and can save a few minutes by screening, rather than PS'ing.
