[release] CrossOver Skin for Thunderbird 1.0

Hi,

i've just made a little crossover skin for Thunderbird 1.0 with mixed elements of the mail.app skin und the pinstripe skin. Thanks to Magbi9 and BiceT at this point.

Enjoy it and merry X-mas.

Download

Final Version 1.5

If you use an earlier version, deinstall it and delete this folder:

C:...ThunderbirdProfilesxxx.defaultextensions{42E25A96-C215-4CC1-BA67-F949DC40341B}

Now you are able to install the 1.5.

Enjoy it!

IMHO the junk mail and get mail buttons for Pinstripe look better than the ones for Mail.app but this is nice work!

Do you know what setting controls the font/font size used in Thunderbird for all the subject lines for mail, all the foldernames in the left pane, etc.?

HI,

take a look at the formatting.css in the global folder. I think there you will find the answer.

This is a fantastic theme - and has now given me a reason to upgrade to 1.0!

So thank you FoneBone!

Just one question - the seperators on the menubar seem quite thick - how would I go about reducing the size of them so that I can make them, say, 50% thinner?

#241238

well, u did acctully just chage the toolbar buttons. but it's a good idea. I think I'm going to do this myselfe... becouse your buttons are realy bad qualety...

It's kinda similar with the pinstripe theme that i'm using (forgot who created that).

I'll try this one and see which one I like more :)

#241325

Good shot FoneBone, though some of the buttons look a bit blurry to me!

current state, I have changed more then you can see in this shot... but u get the point, almost everything will be changed...

#241452

Will this be mostly a simple .jar theme, or will we have to replace lots of files, like with your Pinstripe theme?

That looks fantastic Magbi...can't wait to use it. I've been reluctant about upgrading to 1.0 for this very reason...your skin will allow me to do that. Your consistent high-quality work is much appreciated

Thank you as well FoneBone
