Aqua-Soft ForumsHas any reading this seen maximus gratus's screenshots? In explorer he has a rounded searchbar just like the real os x. I have tried and tried to make something like that but my address bar isn't as round or as smooth and I still have a couple of problems. Has anyone considered making a search/address bar program that modifies explorer and makes the address bar's edges round? Would it be extremly difficult? All different kinds of apps are coming out like windowblinds 4.0 and samurize (came out couple months ago) and they do fine for starters but they don't change the little things that make OS X a better graphical operating system. All of those new apps are nice like the Savanna browser but I would rather have a couple of apps that make you computer look more like mac then to have a couple of apps that almost no one needs. I hope that someone does try to make program to make the address bar in explorer round if they aren't already doing so. Having a prog like that would help out a lot more people then a address book or new web browser (there are already ones almost as fast as Safari like Opera even though it doesn't look the same). I want quality not quanity. The Y'z Apps are a good example of this: Y'z`Shados. No one would have even thought about shadows but now that its come out our windows look more like Mac. I hope someone makes a prog. Sorry for writing so much, its just that I want a program to change the address bar to be made.

First of, alilm is making a finder app, so we can start forgetting about everything and the mess that comes along with it. Simplicity might be another way to say whats coming with his app.
MrAqua is also planning to make a clone for explorer, skinnable based on the savanna suite. Most likely we will skin it the way our god Elppa ordered us. And yeah, expect something cool from that guy.
So basically based on those two guys we have nothing serious to worry about - from experience, it'd be useless to bust your ass on that tutorial and have like 30% functionality of the real finder of the osx and like never be able to truely customize your toolbar icons the way you want and its kinda like ass cover feeling.. knowing its all for the look (similar to the past when we tried to make the OSX dock in desktopX and after long months there was a 'secret' tutorial on how to make the dock zoom more than 1 item at a time..-everybody jumped on that...and then later iceman made a flashDock.. then moby came out with a dock and now we already got 3 docks

Regardless, iceman and beric (+ myself) have already decoded maximus's coded tutorial and on their way to make something - i personaly havent heard anything from them yet. However i know they can already make something and I'm almost positive they do.
I understand how to do it its just that i'm not much of a photoshop user or theme creator so it won't come out that good. I've done most of it already its just that The sides aren't perfectly round and the word Address before the addresbar is half in the address bar and half out. I want a prog so i won't have to do it again. So Goku... is Mr Aqua doing a exact replica of explorer only with a rounded address bar? If so would it be possible to replace explorer.exe with the new replica? Thanks. Can't wait to get those progs. Hope they come out soon.
