the mod is not as easy. for the chat balloons they are still working on it. but you can get the previous versions of the ichat.css files for ieview. you will need tabsrmm.
all work for miranda if you are wondering.
for the actual miranda contact list you can ask magnus. i believe he said something about avedesk.
the colours of the contact list will be simple as a guide is provided in pe8er's glossy milk gui kit.

Thanks much for your contributions to the community. I have some unfortuanate news though. The Miranda Forums Community has been hacked and the forums reset. Meaning, the link you provided to the Nicer Compact List is no longer valid. I have googled my bum off, but to no avail. No progress on finding a valid link has been made. His tutorial from Milk GUI kit is good, but it has nothing common with clist from magnus...
We can compare this two screenshots:
there is a difference in scroll bar.
it seems, list from Magnus has a caption maybe made by skinstudio or smth else and applied with WB per-apps settings only for this window.

call me a idiot but I really cant figure this out. I extract the clist plug in into my miranda plugins folder but when I go to options to choose plugins inside miranda the clist plugin isnt show in the scroll box. Any help would be appreciated. I got the ichat bubble to work, I just need a good looking buddylist and itll be complete.
what version of miranda do you have? clist_nicer requires one of 0.4 RC builds.

Hmm, I did have some problems myself earlier today with the drop shadow not showing even after restarting Miranda. After rebooting it reappeared though.
I have no idea what the problem was... sorry :/
Go to Options, Contact List | Window, check "Show drop shadow".
That for some reason doesn't work for me.. even if I have no rounded edges on my clist.
