1. I'm a phb entity, I'm still developing my abilities, learning new things, adding to my hardware and software. My name reflects new versions of me.

Not everbody is skilled. Everbody cannot come up with nice icons/walls/skins etc.
In what other way can you contribute.... helping others to solve their issues. Mostly they are done within an hour or two or left unresolved. You can't expect people to hang around all day long waiting for people to post their problems.
What if you are not as hilarious like others? Not many users bother to read boring comments.
And suppose that everyone comments on a release then there would have been around million posts by now.All useless.

It doesn't matter if you post a small amount as long as one tries to simply post in a useful way. I started out leeching myself, than moved on just putting in small helpful hints that I found out or have already been helped by.
As I learn more, I try to help more. As I use Photoshop more towards GUI images, I contribute more. It's all about quality instead of quantity. Which, I believe is what Unbeliever was really getting at. Posting huge amounts of screenshots isn't always the best use of your time and energy unless you actually have something different to show. I don't post too many "official" screenshots because I rarely change and don't feel the need to show every change. If I feel there's actually something useful to be shown in my screenshot, then I'll post it.
It's true that not everyone is all that great when it comes to graphics or coding. One example of a person who I love to watch on this board in dreamz. He continually states that he's not too good graphics or code wise. What he does do is try to help out any and everyone who has a computer question. Whatever it may be. He's a huge contribution with calm, helpful posts aimed at bettering the community by the addition and passing on of knowledge. If a topic has come up many times, he links to past topics without being too critical (*cough* Unbeliever *cough*... ). I try to model my replies to questions after this member who I've looked up to almost from the beginning of my stay here.

Another example is castroman. I for a good while, only knew him as the loving wallpaper thread watcher. No one else on this board as been as uplifting and supportive in my eyes as him. Always seems to find time to congragulate all kinds of hard work done. Everyone by now knows that "/aviel" will most likely have been preceeded by a compliment meant to encourage the thread author.
Sorry to single out you two, but you both stand out as major contributors in ways that many may not think of right away. You both are the better examples to use when pointing out that any knowlege or action can be used to move this community forward without having to be a themer/iconist/developer/whatever. There's no need for so many of the true Leechers that inhabit this board, as the same goes for all message boards.
I usually try to stay away from these huge posts, but hopefully this will encourage others to contribute in any way that they can.

@ Ole - you missed my point buddy.
It`s all a matter of will. For example, when i first joined i knew sh1t about Aqua, GUI and gfx. But i started learning just cause i was inspired by all these great pple who shared their work and helped this community evolve. And as sketching pointed out, it`s not all about gfx/apps/skins. Sometimes just participating in a discussion and sharing your experience (weather it was a good or bad one) might help someone. And when u say that posting thanks or whatever in release comments is pointless, i have to object. As an creative person, i love sharing my work and apreciate comments more than anything (since, afterall i`m doing it for free). It`s what can inspire me to do more, or if my release is ignored, it can cause doubts in my skills and make me feel bad. It`s not in what way you contribute or not, it`s about contributing or not.
@ sketching - dreamz is one of the coolest guys around and he`s been like that for a while

About commenting on releases I don't comment until I really mean it. Fake appreciation does not do any good and if it is so so I can't think of anything to say.
