Burning AVI to DVD

Does anyone know of a program which will allow me to burn my AVI files to DVD, and let me play them on a normal DVD player? Thanks

use DVD2SVCD... don't let the name fool you, it can convert avi to dvd... guide and links to tools needed here:

use the tmpgenc encoder and you can use any burning app (nero, etc.), not necessarily what they have listed there. you can skip the part about subtitles too if you don't have any in your video.
