Not sure where this should go I know many of you have ipods thats why Im asking
I bought an ipod but Im noticing there is two models can someone tell me whats the difference and if one is better than the other

there is no difference, apple just couldnt make ipods fast enough, so the sold some rights to HP and now they sell them too.
ok I was reading about them one has voice recorder the other one doesnt. the one from hp looks like its only for windows. looking at the box now i cant open it because its not xmas yet lol
HP iPod IS Win only (cause it doesn`t come with Mac firmware) but in all other aspects they are the same. Read the review on ipodlounge.com if u need more info.
HP also shows an HP logo on startup. There was one other difference, but I don't remember. :-( Try google, or as Unbe suggested, ipodlounge.com

oh and it seems the HP one is missing one of the logos on the bottom that is supposed to be like Australia safe electricity or sumtin :slant:
and it has ugly HP logos on the back and on restart :

so can you guys help me make a choice thinking about taking the hp one back and get the apple one I read the sound quality was bad on hp
I don't think that there's a difference between the sound qualities. But, to be sure, take the HP back and get the original Apple one. There is no price difference as far as I know, so there should be no problem.

yup went there and went to hp website and apple to read reviews as well as circuit city i like to see what the reviews are before i buy something. Can I be a dudette? lol

but have no fear, the only difference is the box and the ugly HP logo on the back.
Apple just wanted to get a broader audience so it teamed up with HP. HP is kind of a reseller for the iPod.

yes i read the ipodlounge article, and it said that the HP manufactured iPod is missing one of the safety marks :slant:
