[preview] Lutetium for iPod photo

lupod_preview.jpg

I'm going to be creating an Lutetium theme for your iPod photos! :) You won't need to use iPodWizard because I'll have modded the iPod firmware updated executable with iPodWizard. Best of all, Windows formatted iPods will work with your Mac! I'm almost finished, but need to add the finish polish and then test it out on my iPod photo before releasing. ;)

Great idea, I thought about doing this earlier today :)

Something bugs me stil.... I don't like big batteries, maybe you could make them a little bit nicer? IMO they're just too simple, one gradient isn't enough for my wicked taste :P Make it more shiny or something.

Question: do you know how to modify that system file on iPod so it can be updated (not restored) when I want to upload new hacked firmware? I hacked mine, found out that some things look bad, fixed them but I don't feel like formatting it and readding all music again >.<

@Pe8er: You hafta hack the iPod photo itself's firmware so that when the Updater finds the iPod it'll think "This iPod is only x.x.x, I will enable the Update button." and you can update ;). There is more info on hacking the iPod in the comments of http://www.engadget.com/entry/1234000610023097/

Also , it is not a simple gradient ;). I used a gradient and a couple layers of airbrushing ;) If you look closely you can see it is not a linear gradient :)

w00t! I hacked my iPod photo by extracting the firmware with ResHacker and then replacing the firmware in the iPod Updater 11-15-04.app. I'm transfering the Windows iPod Updater.exe to my Mac for upload, so it'll be up in a few minutes :), oh and it looks sweeeeeet! :D

I already tried that. Changed numbers in that file but it doesn't work >.
