How To Change The "recent Documents" Icon

hey,

i found that IconPackager changes many icons but some of the trickier ones are changed either in some places or in no places. One of these is the "Recent Documents" icon that pops up in the Start Menu and in menus such as this in WinXP:

click here if u don't see the picture (no popups on my host)

I'm sure that a lot of people are struggling with the same problem, so i'd appreciate it if you answer these 2 questions:

1) how can u change the freacking icon?

2) I assume that the only way to comprehensively change it to a mac looking icon is by editing a .dll file with

"Resource Hacker." What's the .dll file that i need to edit? (also which part of it, some of them get pretty long to look through!)

if someone already asked this (i could not find anything, but maybe...) i'd appreciate a PM or reply with the URL. Also if there's a site with a list of windows .dll files and what they do, i'd appreciate that too.

Thanks,

Elliot

ha ha ha , ne dude a very simple way to change the icon of recent documents is to first , enable the showing of yhiden files & folder from folder options & then go to C:\Documents and Settings\USER\Recent documents & change its icon to anything you want , but there is a lil problem i.e. the moment you delete any data from here it will restore the original icon or rather as you even do different things on your comp such a listen to music , write a mail , view pics or anything as the composition of this forlder will also change ...........so what i can provide you with is not a fullly permanent solution to the problem but for a quickfix it works . hope you find it usefull :D
