Itunes For Qcd Version 3.6

I've updated iTunes for QCD to version 3.6.

The most significant changes are:

1. New internal skin structure that reduces size of skin.

2. All text has been recreated using LucindaMac font to better mimic the real thing. This is about as close as a windows font will get. International characterset supported.

3. EQ mini mode button glitch fixed.

4. Main mode left hand edge bug fixed.

5. Status display fixed for VBR display when using MAD plug-in.

Both normal and graphite versions are available at www.spidercrab.com. Please report any bugs here.

The best version of QCD to use is the final release version 3.50. Beta versions newer than B40 will also work.

Duckie - I don't know. However, if you look at spidercrab.com you should see and be able to download iTunes v 3.6.

Nice job on the skin, as always. Would you consider doing an iFixed version as well as a right handed version?

By right handed, I'm refering to having the min, max. close buttons on the right for consistency with the Windows interface.

Some of us don't use Object Bar, Windows Blinds or ShellWM to achieve a total Mac look and we like our min, max, close buttons on the right.

Grusic - I won't do a right hand button version because it would not only be a lot of work, but mainly because the main purpose of this skin is to look like iTunes and not a Winodozised Mac application.

I have considered an iFix2 version but there are some things that have stopped me.

1. The iFix2 play buttons don't look right to me. The angle of the light on the buttons is wrong for one thing. They look like a concept that Apple has not finished yet. I predict that we will see better looking iFix buttons on the next release of the real iTunes or some other iApplication.

2. The Smooth sunken min max buttons look great, but also don't match the rest of the iTunes skin. So again I think Apple will update the whole look of iTunes using sunken buttons. So I am waiting for this to happen before making big changes to the QCD skin.

It is a lot of work. It isn't just modifying one mode, it is all main modes and all EQ modes for both normal and graphite, and then producing new screenshots for my web site and updating with a new page and download links. From then on it creates x2 effort for any changes that are made for the life of the skin.

I'm not being negative here, just realistic. You are the only person who has ever requested min max buttons on the right. Glad you managed to figure it out yourself.

Andykap - You cannot easily change the colour of this or any other iTunes skin. The only way would be to completey redesign the skin in the colour of your choice.
